How To: Make a Big Difference For Kids- With Your Mail!! How To: Make a Big Difference For Kids- With Your Mail!!
The Holidays are over and everywhere we look Valentine’s decorations are already popping up. My Christmas cards are still proudly displayed on my wall, I usually keep them up for a few weeks.
After they come down, what to do with them? They could be used for crafts, tags for gifts next year, or recycled. OR send them to the St. Jude Recycled Card Program to help support programs and services for abused, neglected and homeless kids, young adults and families.
The cards are upcycled into new card packs and resold as a fundraiser. They take ALL season and holiday cards, Birthday cards, and even Thank You Notes (with a few brand restrictions)- not just Christmas cards. Every January we get a large flat rate envelope and fill it with the cards we receive all year, then we mail it to St. Jude’s for this unique program.
Have you ever heard of this program? Do you know of any other ways to upcycle your cards? Share them with us in the comments or on our Facebook page!
